FROM ANOTHER WORLD

It was from another world

The Great Creator came.

He beat a path right to my door

‘May I come in,’ he asked polite

Why should I let him in?

He was just another man like me.

‘I’ve come from far to see,’ he said.

‘My beauteous work of art.’

Just let me bide with you awhile

Enjoying what I’ve made.

With a sigh upon my lips

For my mind was set on pleasures rich.

I stood aside for him to enter.

‘There’s a place for you,’ he said.

‘A mansion, even so.’

I saw a catch and said, ‘What must I do

To earn this mansion fair.’

He smiled, ‘I’m the way, just follow me.’

’There’s nothing you can do to earn

This place I’ve made for you.

Just let me live with in your heart.

It’s faith in me is what’s required.’

Into his face I gazed with wonder

At his offer, Oh so generous.

My life for a mansion in his world?

The cost was cheap I thought.

It was then I knew he was the Son of God

Come to lead me to his Father

As I walked with him into eternity.

I bowed my head and bent my knee.

My heart was captivated

By this man who was the Son of God
