Concepts: We all Have Them

The election maybe over but we are still being bombarded with the jubilation of the winners and the angst of the losers.
When we voters went to the polls to vote we had a concept of who we wished would rule us. We had a hope or concept for a better future for our community, our nation or our personal life. For some of us, our concepts or dreams will materialize and for others, our concepts or dreams have gone up in smoke.
Nearly everyone has a concept of God, who he is or isn’t. There are so many differing ideas about God it is confusing to know which is the truth. No wonder we have opted to adopt the conception that there is no God. It is much like trying to work out which political party is the best.
God understands our dilemma – and so he sent Jesus Christ, his son and heir to live here among us and show us who God really is and stop the confusion. We see in Jesus all that God is, we see God’s love in his forgiveness of our rejection of him (God) in Jesus. All who came to him, Jesus healed. Jesus delivered the physically impaired, the vision impaired, the mentally tormented – Jesus healed them all. Demonstrating that God is no respecter of persons, that God is love – that God is good.
To make these concepts into realities God laid down one condition. I think Mr. Albanese will lay down more than one condition. There will be conditions on pensions, cost of living, power, education. It might look like we are getting freebies, but are we?
God’s one condition is that we accept his beloved son, Jesus. That we make Jesus our focal point in life. God has opened a door, through Jesus, so we can have an intimate relationship with God, himself. This is no concept, it is a reality if we will accept the one condition making Jesus our savior.
Who governs us depended on who we voted for. It was our choice, so too does our relationship with God depend on our choice. Do we continue to accept that God is a concept, a good idea, or do we make Jesus our focal point and enjoy a great relationship with the living God.
